AgriPVx is deployed on-site at your facility as an industrial control system. The system can be accessed locally without internet connection, or remotely via secure connection—depending on your requirements and network setup.
AgriPVx monitors wind-related alarms from the PV plant and can automatically move the panels into a predefined wind-protection position. Depending on the configured safety concept, this can happen either automatically or after the user confirms that all machinery and personnel have been moved out of the danger zone. Farmers can be notified by SMS whenever a wind-related alarm occurs, enabling the fastest possible response. Optionally, regional weather forecasts can be integrated. This allows AgriPVx to activate protective stow positions before wind speeds increase and to notify farmers in advance of expected high-wind events.
This depends on the existing tracker control system. If the system can receive commands via Modbus TCP or another supported interface, AgriPVx can generally be retrofitted to the plant.
The available clearance depends on the site conditions and the design of the Agri-PV plant. AgriPVx allows an individual target tilt angle to be configured for the PV modules. A steeper tilt angle generally creates a wider passage for agricultural machinery. The target angle can be adjusted whenever required, depending on the machinery being used. This flexibility helps provide sufficient clearance while minimising losses in solar energy production.
Both can operate the system. AgriPVx supports multiple users and user roles, allowing farmers, plant operators, and other authorised personnel to interact with the plant. Integrated safety mechanisms prevent one user from unintentionally overriding another user’s active command.
Yes, farming mode can temporarily reduce the plant’s energy yield. However, the flexibility of AgriPVx helps minimise these losses. Individual panel sections can be controlled separately, and module tilt angles can be adjusted according to the machinery being used. This allows agricultural work to be carried out while limiting the impact on energy production.
Installation is fast and straightforward. A compact industrial computer is connected to the plant’s power supply and network. Once connected, the preconfigured AgriPVx solution can be commissioned and integrated with the local tracker control system. The total commissioning time depends primarily on the interfaces and configuration of the existing plant control system.
If the internet connection fails, AgriPVx cannot be accessed remotely. An optional local Wi-Fi access point can be implemented to ensure that the system remains accessible on site even when the internet connection is unavailable. If the SMS gateway is unavailable, SMS notifications cannot be delivered. However, alarms remain visible in the AgriPVx web interface. Local plant control and configured safety functions can continue to operate independently of the remote internet connection, depending on the system configuration.
AgriPVx is not limited to specific crops or machinery types. Any crop and agricultural machine that can physically operate within the dimensions and clearance limits of the Agri-PV plant can be supported. The configurable module positions allow the system to be adapted to different farming activities and machinery requirements.
